Padlets can be created by you or students. Students could also use Padlet to create visually appealing annotated bibliographies. They are private by default which means that only the owner can access the padlet they have created- until shared. Padlet is an online post-it-like board that you can use as an easy collaboration platform for students. Since Padlets can be created individually or collaboratively, teachers can choose the level of interaction students engage in: they may curate their own work or existing content and then receive and provide peer reviews or collaborate together through every stage of a project for a cooperative learning experience. It is also useful for brainstorming and concept-mapping.

Padlet is useful for curating content or developing e-portfolios, both of which encourage the development of analytical skills, since students must gather, reflect on, select, and annotate content. Teachers are provided with their own Padlet domain and a dashboard where they can manage the padlets and student accounts. It affords teachers and institutions a portal behind which their students can work. Note: This assumes that you have an existing padlet account. In the “Canvas” format, posted items can be moved around and connected with arrows (which can be labelled). Different backgrounds, fonts, and formats are available. Users can share and comment on content, draw, add text, upload files, voice memos, videos, video captures, more. Padlet (formerly Wallwisher) provides users with online canvases or bulletin boards (called padlets) which can be developed collaboratively or individually.
