But it also allows levelling up and switching between 3 planes of the battlefield which Mugen does not. It has MANY characters (just like Mugen) and they’re 6-button characters (just like Mugen). Now this made me think it’d already have a Mugen version. You can go from level 0 to 198! In total there are 45 playable characters!! You could choose who was on whose team as well as what level each character was. In VS mode you could have up to 6 players, though as you likely lacked enough controllers you could also set the others as computer players. You’d battle many foes and after each new enemy was defeated you would unlock them in VS mode. The story mode was 2-player with a choice of Han, Nicole, Randy, Gingerou and when unlocked, Serena. Guardian Heroes is a game that was made for the Sega Saturn and was pretty damn good.
